The Rock Stars at Buzzfest XXX had a Blast at The indiExhibit Table!

Our last event was the Buzzfest 30 Concert hosted by the event company, The Backstage Artist Lounge on April 20, 2013 at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas.

Our CEO, Shannon "Shaz" Justice and Kathy Adalian "Crazy Clown Lady" represented us at this rockin' out event. These Rockstars paused in their busy schedules to take fantabulous photos with our reps and the gifts they chose to take home from our display table, which were created by our awesomely talented members!

While waiting for the guests to arrive at the lounge, the ladies gave us teaser photos of their surroundings......

The indiExhibit's Monday Member Feature-Marielle Teasdale

You’ve seen celebrity photos holding our members’ wonderful creations from our Hollywood Gifting Suites we have attended and thought it would be great fun to get to know our amazing indiExhibit members a little better.

Today’s featured member is Marielle Teasdale. She has participated in the 2012 Canadian Country Music Awards Gifting Suite, 2012 The Primetime Emmys Gifting Suite, and 2013 Buzzfest XXX Backstage Artist Gift Lounge.

When Marielle was a child, she loved painting, drawing, working with clay and writing poems. She comes from a family who not only have careers in the science field, but also many musicians, artists, and writers.

She studied fine arts in college and worked as an illustrator for many years. She also did portraits of women, men and children and worked for an International dog association where her drawings were offered as a prize for the dogs winning a competition.

She states, “At first my art was photographic, hyper realistic, then I found myself imprisoned within a style and wanting to move on; so I started painting with feelings only, trying to put colors and shapes on whatever was happening inside, without thinking or judging. Music is a great help in letting go of the fears…”

She also loves to create jewelry because it is an extension of her imagination and a way of relaxing.

As for writing, she has always said, “I paint when I have no words and write when I have too many.”

Sarah Teasdale, the writer, was an early influence for Marielle. And human nature inspires her as well, but she tries to not to get any “ideas” of what she will paint or create ..until she is done. And then, she says, “the direction is already established.”

When I asked her how she juggles life, home and her career, she said, “I’m married to a wonderful man who does everything he can to help. I also have people to help with housework and gardening, so my time is really devoted to my work. I’m very blessed. I also have two grown children and independent children and a granddaughter (my little angel). I’m fortunate to see her every day and spend time with her practicing violin and doing homework. My friends live far but we speak on Skype!”

When Marielle is creating she, “Can’t work without coffee” and “can’t live without my garden to look at.”

Everyone has pet peeves and for Marielle it’s “ people complaining incessantly about everything, unable to appreciate what they already have under their nose.”

Some of her favorite celebrities are Virginia Wolfe, Helen Mirren, Sandra Bullock, Catherine Mansfield, Matisse, Renoir, and she would love to meet Helen Mirren!

Charities that Marielle is involved with are Canadian Cancer Society, Children Foundation, Amnesty International, and Médecins Sans Frontières.

To see some of her paintings and read more about her and her book, please visit her website :

in English and in French.

I hope you enjoyed getting to know Marielle Teasdale a little better, I know I did!

Come back soon to learn more about another of our fanatabulous members!
